The Church on Blood in Honour of All Saints Resplendent in the Russian Land is a Russian Orthodox church built on the site of the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg, where Nicholas II, the last Emperor of Russia, and several members of his family and household were shot by the Bolsheviks during the Russian Civil War. The church commemorates the Romanov sainthood.
The temple was built on the site of the engineer Ipatiev house, in the basement of which the Holy Royal Martyrs were killed. Despite the demolition of the building in 1977, to make a pilgrimage to this place year sought a lot of believers. September 23, 1992 by Archbishop of Yekaterinburg and Verkhotursky Melchizedek first stone of the future church was laid. Also consecrated Bishop built a wooden chapel in the name of Martyr Elizabeth Feodorovna. However, almost immediately after the laying of the first stone of the construction stopped because of the disastrous economic situation in the country.
On September 20 1990, the Sverdlovsk Soviet handed the plot to the Russian Orthodox Church for construction of a memorial chapel. After the former Tsar and his family’s canonisation as Passion Bearers, the Church planned to build an impressive memorial complex dedicated to the Romanov family. A state commission was gathered and architectural as well as funding plans were developed. Construction began in 2000.
At the moment, the Temple-on-Blood is not only the current cathedral, and museum complex. The museum exhibited a number of the exhibits dedicated to the last months of the life of Emperor Nicholas II and his family. The church is a Sunday church school for children from 6 years of age and older, as well as Bible courses are held for all comers.

Next to the temple is located Patriarchal farmstead includes a library, exhibition space, a concert hall and home church in honor of St. Nicholas.
Every year on the night of 16 on July 17 at the Temple on Blood accomplished service in the memory of the royal family, which concludes with a procession to the monastery at Ganina Yama.
