Salbyksky mound – a ruined remains of the largest mound Middle Yenisei basin – Tagar culture monument, located in the tract Salbyk (from Khakassian – Salbiev ‘lowland’) 60 km north of Abakan in the Republic of Khakassia. Protected by the state, a museum “Salbyk.” A well-known tourist destination.
Was excavated in 1954-56. Expedition of the Institute of History of Material Culture and Khakassky Research Institute of Language, Literature and History, under the direction of SV Kiselev.

Ust-Abakansky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the eight in the Republic of Khakassia, Russia. It is located in the center of the republic.
